READING TEXTS FOR LEVEL 1 (SPECIFICALLY YEAR 2)
Assalamualaikum and hi. How's the teaching and learning going on at home so far? 😊😊
Sharing with you reading texts emphasizing on more complex 11 phonemes (sound) as highlighted in DSKP Tahun 2 Bahasa Inggeris: air, ear, ure, er, ay, ou, ie, ea, oy, wh, ph.
If your Year 1 kids have mastered the phonemes I shared previously, you can also move on to these ones. Year 3 teachers/parents can also use this as remedial/reinforcement work.
The worksheets are pretty simple so parents can practise each sound with its action repeatedly to help our kids learn/remember the sound more easily.
1. I've made some tiny notes; indicating the learning standard involved for each section.
2. Formative assessment: Each worksheet has been differentiated to suit two level of proficiency: Look for the star sign: 1-star worksheet is quite easy, 2-star worksheet is more challenging.
